Missions Season at Council Road

Every year CRBC has a Missions Season to focus our attention on what God is doing here and around the world in Missions. This year our Missions Season is April 17-June 1, 2025. We chose our theme verse Romans 10:15, “And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” When Paul wrote this verse, the good news was beginning to spread to the Gentiles (Romans 10:11). Since then, the good news has spread, but there are still people who have never heard.

Missions is the heartbeat of CRBC. We want “Every Member in a Group. Every Group on Mission.” As we serve together, God unifies us. We can do more together! Not only as groups, but also as individuals. How does God want you to serve?

“Serve” looks very different for each of us. God has uniquely gifted us and given us various places to live on mission. “Serve” can also be giving financially. During this Missions Season, we collect our Missions Offering to support CRBC Missions outside of our budgeted Missions. This year our goal is $115,000.

With this Missions Offering, we support our CRBC missionaries, support mIssion trips and projects, the Great Commission Grant to assist individuals going on short-term trips, Community Missions, the International Mission Board, Oklahoma Baptists Missions, Church Plants, and Global Action. We can only continue to take the good news both locally and globally with this special offering.

Missions also involves prayer. We pray for our missionaries, unreached people groups, the spiritual darkness around the world and even around CRBC. We will have a new missions area to help us with prayer and all things missions. Go check it out during Missions Season (more details to come).

Each Sunday morning of our six weeks of Missions Season, we will focus on a various area of missions. Come ready to hear what God is already doing in missions. May 4th you will hear about teams going on short-term trips. For Mother’s Day, we will have an interview with a mother/daughter involved in missions. May 18th you will watch the testimony of the local Afghan pastor and his wife. Memorial Day weekend we will have a special prayer time for missions. We will conclude our Missions Season reflecting on our feet going.

“Beautiful are the feet” will remind us that people brought the good news to us. Who told you about Jesus? Footsteps are a good visual for us–feet allow us to walk to places. Footsteps represent the feet of actual people; people taking the good news and people receiving it. As you see footsteps of our theme, think about your own feet as well.

What part will you play in Missions? You can pray, send, and go. “Go” may be across the street, volunteer with a local ministry, or go to the ends of the earth. What sacrifice will you make this Missions season? How “beautiful are YOUR feet” who bring good news!
