1. Charcuterie making with Kelly Burton

DATE: Aug 26 from 6 -7 pm - LOCATION: Missions Cafe - COST: $20 per person

Together we will make our own charcuterie boxes. We will learn how to make salami roses, cut and assemble cheeses, plus learn more ways to style food-like cutting a kiwi decoratively! The best part though is getting to enjoy eating your charcuterie creation! I will also have cheese samples at the end of class. Who knew playing with your food is so much fun?!

2. Horseback riding/grooming and brushing with Twylla Hester

DATE: Nov 1 from 9am-12pm - LOCATION: House of Healing (7300 Britton Rd NE, El Reno, OK 73036) - COST: $20 donation to House of Healing

We will spend time brushing/grooming our horses and then focus on the basics of riding in the arena. There can be healing in your heart through the connection of the horse when you allow yourself to be present in the moment and hear what God has to say. We have helmets and boots to borrow if you don’t have your own. Enjoy our beautiful property at House of Healing and spend time learning the basics of horse care and riding!

3. Board games with Cymber Sletten

Come learn how to play some fun new games that you can share with friends and family!

4. Sourdough bread with Alexa Chaffin

DATE: Sunday, October 5th (afternoon, time will be confirmed by Alexa) LOCATION: Council Road Baptist Church Kitchen

5. Bow-making with Janice Hesser 

DATE: Choose either: Thursday, September 25 at 7 pm OR Saturday, September 27 at 10:00 am LOCATION: Janice’s house 8100 NW 128th Pl, OKC, OK 74142 

Do you have daughters or granddaughters that love hair bows? Or maybe you or your teens like to wear a stylish bow! Learn how to make your own hair bows and headbands of several styles.

6. Dance class with Karlee McBride

DATE: October 4th from 10-11am  LOCATION: TBD - Karlee will contact you!

New to ballet? This class is the perfect place to start! We’ll cover the basics—like simple steps, positions, and movement—while building strength, balance, and movement quality. No experience needed—just bring your energy and a willingness to learn. Wear: comfortable clothes you can move in & socks or ballet shoes. All ages and abilities welcome (modifications and adaptations will be provided!)

7. Pie-making with Peggy Diefenderfer

DATE: Monday, October 20 from 6:30 to 8:30pm LOCATION: Peggy’s house 9711 Horseshoe Rd, OKC 73162 

“In this “Hands-On” class, we will work on all the steps for making a pie, beginning with making pie crust, rolling it out and filling it! Participants will receive a mini pie plate (filled with pie!) and some favorite recipes. So friends - tie those aprons on and roll up your sleeves - let’s do this! Note: For this particular class, we cannot accommodate special dietary restrictions (such as gluten-free).

8. Power-walking with Mary McConnell 

DATE: first Saturday of each month at 9 AM LOCATION: Stars and Stripes park (meet at the pavilion area by the parking lot).

Would you like to learn how to power-walk effectively, as well as grow in community with other CRBC sisters? Join Mary and others monthly to walk in community! 

9. Intro To weightlifting with Karina Gossen 

DATE: September 15 from 6 - 7pm LOCATION: Cube exercise room

Does the word “weightlifting” intimidate you? Have you heard that weight-training is good for your overall physical health, but don’t know where to start? Let Crossfit “coach Karina” give you the Weightlifting 101 intro class to build your confidence and ensure safety as you try something new and possibly out of your comfort zone! 

10. Voice lesson with Kara Kilman

DATE: October 13th 6:30-8:30pm LOCATION: 14615 Blackjack Dr., Piedmont, OK 73078

Would you like to learn how music works and how to produce good sound (chin position, mouth position, etc)? Whether you have never learned to sing properly, haven’t sung in ages, or simply enjoy singing, join Kara and CRBC sisters in learning and refining basic vocal techniques.

11. Crochet stuffed-animal making with Kara Kilman

Christmas is coming! Want to learn to make a hand-made crochet stuffie for the children in your life? Bring a size 5 crochet hook and one worsted weight yarn skein in the color of your choice.

13. Book besties with Addi Suenram

Whether you’re an avid reader or just looking for a place to start, Book Besties is for you! I truly believe there’s a book out there for everyone and reading can be fun when you have people to share it with. Pick a book, join the convo, and let’s yap about it together! Need a recommendation? Don't worry, I’ve got plenty! 

14. Pickleball with Bonnie Cannon  

DATE: September 15 at 6:30pm LOCATION: The Cube 

Whether you are brand new to pickleball or comfortable on the court, join Bonnie and other CRBC ladies for some fun! Wear clothes to move in and tennis shoes. 

15. Upscale week-night dinners; Elizabeth Fleming & Megan Mathews

16. Discipleship/Scripture Memory with Natalie Ford and Milicent Gillogoly

Discipleship/Scripture Memory with Natalie Ford and Milicent Gillogoly: Are you looking to grow in your walk with the Lord, your understanding of scripture and scripture memory? This group is for you! Join Millicent and Natalie in 2 sessions!

17. Intro to sewing with Amanda Yoder

DATES: August 20th, September 3rd, AND September 17th from 6-8pm LOCATION: Council Road - Room 100

Whether you are completely new to sewing or need to dust off your sewing machine and get a refresher, this 3 week intro to sewing class is for you! Bring your own sewing machine and Amanda will reach out regarding specific fabric to bring.

18. Watercolor with Megan Mathews 

DATE: Saturday morning, November 8th LOCATION: Meg’s home 6625 Parkwood Lane OKC, OK 73132 COST: up to $30 

Join me for a relaxed morning in my home learning watercolor techniques and fundamentals. No prior skills or experience necessary! You will leave with your very own materials, a completed painting and hopefully the desire to bust out that paint set again! 

19. Gardening with Sarah Sutton

DATE: either October 23 or 25, depending on group availability LOCATION: multiple locations

If you are interested in beginning and intermediate gardening tips, join this group to learn more! There will be an optional home garden tour in late September, then we will have a private class at TLC Northwest in October. This class will be conducted by a TLC employee and will cover fall gardening and winter prep. Then in April of 2026, we will offer another home garden tour for those interested in azaleas.

20. Home styling and decor on a budget with Kendra Crabtree

Do you ever wonder how to style your home on a budget? Are there things in your home that could be moved around to give it new life? Come hang out with Kendra Crabtree and learn some home styling tips and tricks from her decades of design expertise!

21. Flower Fun with Jetta Ketner & Vickey Banks

DATE: Wednesday, November 5th. LOCATION: Vickey's Home 6413 Rock Crest Road, OKC COST: $20 (We will provide flowers for you!) WHAT TO BRING: A vase with an opening approx 3-4" in diameter (Can go slightly smaller, but not much larger. Choose less than 8" high if you want to use it as a centerpiece on a table where you'll be eating.) For affordable options, check out Hobby Lobby, Target, At Home, or possibly Home Goods. 

We are not professionals, but we do have a lot of fun with flowers! Come learn some tricks to making a simple, but lovely live floral centerpiece that can be used on your holiday table or otherwise.

24. Virtual recipe exchange with Kelly Brown 

Are you often wondering, “what should I make for dinner?” Do you feel like the same menu is on constant rotation? Collab with other women to expand mealtime options! This is a perfect “skills group” choice for those whose schedule is busy, as there is no meeting time!  Kelly Brown will organize a virtual recipe exchange. No specific date or time and no maximum group number!
