Over the last few months, our church has gone through a transition of unifying our worship. The goal has been to create more unity within our church body by worshipping with the same music during both Sunday services! It has been beautiful to witness our church come together and find its own unique expression of musical worship.
One way we have created a unique expression for our church is through writing original music. In the last year and a half, our church has written and released 13 different songs, with the goal of embodying the true heart of Council Road Baptist Church. This first volume of music, Council Road Worship, Volume 1, is meant to have a song for each seasonal marker of the year, with songs written for Christmas, Easter, Ash Wednesday, our summer Baptism Service and more, in addition to having a song for our essential beliefs and doctrine.
Being married to the worship minister, I get to see a lot of the behind the scenes work to these songs being created. From the initial melody idea, to the day we get to sing it with our congregation, and all the in between.
It has been so beautiful to watch our arts team collaborate and use their unique giftings to make these songs come to life. The beautiful sounds of the orchestra, our lovely choir, the band and lead vocalists, combined with the talents of our Technical and Production Directors have all come together to create something very unique to our church and I am excited to see it all together in our newly released album. I hope that, above all else, these songs will honor the Lord and continue to cultivate unity within our church body at Council Road for years to come. I also cannot wait to see how the Lord continues to use the gifts and service of faithful volunteers in our arts ministry to create more art that brings Him glory!

My name is Chloe Wall and I married my bestie, Eric Wall in July 2023! We have a sweet dog named pepper and are absolutely obsessed with her! I am a wedding photographer and a big fan of being outside, reading, coffee runs, listening to my favorite music (anything taylor swift!!), family time and watching movies with a candle lit! Most of all, I love Jesus and am so thankful for the wonderful gifts He has provided in my life. I am so thankful for Council Road and love getting to walk alongside my husband and the sweet people here as we do life together!
