The Word is

The Word created the world to be

The Word came to live among us

The Word is Life and Light for me (1)

Worthy of Wonder

With overwhelming gratitude

We thank You for Your extravagant plan to come for us.

You, who always were

Who brought everything into being

made Your promised redemption known

throughout the Old Testament.

You refused to allow evil 

or the short-sighted ways of man

to dull Your great love and

thwart Your grand plan.

You used an unlikely cast of characters

and saved the remnant needed to fulfill Your prophecies.

In ways that define our imaginations

You had Him who always was

Who created the world to be

come into this weary world

as a tiny, vulnerable Baby of humble birth.

The Life and Light of the World

The Lamb of God

The Word who was and is and evermore will be

You kept Your promises.

You really are our Immanuel, God with us.

We sit in the magnificence of You today.

You are worthy of our wonder.
